How to relieve back pain?

1. Walk a lot! Walking is the best exercise for your spine and posture. Walking causes your abs and hip muscles to work together and support each other.

2. If you sit for longer periods of time, at work for example, force yourself to get up from your chair as much as your work environment permits, optimally once per hour. Sitting loads the spine and compresses the disks, leading to disk problems.

3. Stretch often! You need to stretch to help your back and neck relax and stay flexible. Keeping flexible helps maintain normal joint function and a good range of motion.

4. Try Teeter Hang Ups ! It involves hanging upside down or at an inverted angle on the Inversion table with the intention of therapeutic benefits. Inversion elongates the spine, increases the space between the vertebrae, and relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments, and nerve roots. And less pressure means less back pain, as well as fewer headaches and neck problems. Check out Teeter Hang Ups on Facebook.

4. Drink a mixture of Honey and Warm Water; this is one of the best home remedies for improving your immunity system, but also for treating back pain. Mix a couple of spoons of honey in warm water and drink it early in the morning.

5. Do not stress too much! Try to chill out and stay relaxed, because getting wound up causes a lot of stress in all the muscles in the body, not just those in the neck. Stressed-out people are far more likely to suffer from back pain than those who are relaxed. A simple technique to reduce stress is to practice deep breathing.

6. Sleep correctly! For the least back strain, lie on your side, legs comfortably bent, with a pillow between your knees. But when it hurts you, try to find the most comfortable position and stay like that. Take it easy when your back hurts. In most cases this means lying on your back with several pillows under your legs so that the hips and knees are both flexed 80 to 90 degrees.
