Imagine for a minute , you are flying along a road out on your annual motorbike trip.

As it looms closer you begin to ask what to do.  Should you pull over and wait out the storm?  Or ride on thru to your next stop, and stick it our.  You pick a choice to for the second, and finish up spending the rest of your trip sad, as you have got a cold mingled with a sinus infection.  If only you had packed your motorbike rain gear.  The miracles of modern textiles might have saved you the problem and bother of a cold.  Quality waterproof motorbike pants and rain suits are made of a complicated water resistant technology, six hundred Denier nylon.  They’ll have one or two pockets with full enclosed flaps and Velcro, and even an inner pocket to keep your wallet nice and dry.

With many styles and colors to choose between, you are going to be able to find one that matches your preferences, and still have a comfortable fit.  You can get water-proof motorbike pants or rain suits in either an one piece style or two piece style.  The legs should have Velcro and zips to deal with the wearing of boots, and the sleeves should have Velcro and zips as well to help help the wearing of a leather jacket.  There also should be a strong heatproof inner leg lining to offer protection to the rain suit from becoming liquified due to high engine and exhaust temperatures.  Finding a bike rain suit that has reflective material is also significant.

This helps to make sure that other drivers see you in stormy weather.  When riding in the rain remember to take it slower than ordinary.

Try to keep the turns as low as practicable as you only have 2 wheels touching the ground, and a condition called hydroplaning can occur a lot less difficult than in a passenger auto.  Hydroplaning takes place when the water beneath a tire causes the tire to truly float on the water, causing the tire to loose traction and stability.  Be sure to observe the quantity of rain on the road, as even two inches of rain could cause hydroplaning.  Eventually when you get to your destination, be certain to treat your leather products with a good polish and leather preserver like, Skidmore’s Biker Motorbike Edition Leather Cream that helps preserve and reanimate a soft robust quality to the leather.  The ideal time to do that really is after each stormy ride, or once or even more a month.  Whatever the weather that you’re riding in, always be certain to stay safe, and have a great time.  The art of motorbike riding can be deadly, but you may help to keep it safe if you follow the guidelines of the road.  Be sure to help out your fellow riders, and always wear protection for your head.
